4-Game Sweep Baby! Great night for LLCA! The Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Varsity Girls moved to 4-1 on the season with a 51-40 victory over Oakwood Adventist Academy out of Huntsville. Once again, Emilee Murr led the attack at the Lions Den with 36 points, 6 steals, and 5 assists. Tori Taylor added 8 points and 5 assists while Chenethia Williams pulled down 11 rebounds. The Lady Lions resume play on Friday at the Den against Richland High School out of Giles County, TN. In the Varsity Boys game, LLCA overcame the early loss of leading scorer Nathan Zielinski to injury, and defeated Providence Classical School out of Huntsville by the score of 47-36. Tommy Murr scored 19 points, and Joel Cox added 14 points and 7 rebounds to lead the host Lions to victory. Jacob Graves hauled in 12 defensive rebounds and added 4 steals to lead the Lions strong defensive effort. With the win, the Lions moved to 5-2 on the season and will play again at Cornerstone Christian School in Decatur next Tuesday.
