4-H Tractor and Machinery Certification Course 7 week course held on Thursdays: February 13, 20, 27; March 6, 13, 20, 27, 2014 6:30-9:30 pm Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County, Hamden $40 per person (includes $25 course book) By federal law, no person under 16 years of age may operate a farm tractor or farm machinery on a farm owned by anyone other than the persons parents. The Tractor and Machinery Operators Certification Course allows exemption for this law for 14 and 15 year olds. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware Countys 4-H Program will be sponsoring the course which will be taught by Larry Burgin, a Delhi farmer.
