4 #Ingleside volunteers are more than halfway through the 7 day Breathing Apparatus (#BA) & Advanced Structural #Fire Fighting Course. This weekend, they were training at Lake Macquarie in the hot fire training facility where they learn the skills to fight all types of structural fires including house & factory fires. To be trained to this level, our volunteers will have already completed the Bushfire Fighters Course, Village Fire Fighters Course and a First Aid Course, along with passing a medical to ensure the health of our members is suitable to fight fires in stressful and toxic environments. Even though we are volunteers, we train to a high level in a number of different areas to provide the expertise to combat a range of fires, other than just Bushfires.
