4 January 2015 Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. (Philippians 4:11-12 NLT) You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the LORD is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap. (Proverbs 3:25-26 NLT) Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off! (Acts of the Apostles 16:25-26 NLT) Then the high officers, officials, governors, and advisers crowded around them and saw that the fire had not touched them. Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched. They didn’t even smell of smoke! (Daniel 3:27 NLT) Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. (Psalms 37:24 NLT) Praise at all times He has already promised to see us through. Will you stay consistent and content when adversities come knocking at your door? Or will everyone around you know you are going through an unfortunate event? God wants you to rejoice when you are being blessed and also when you are facing a trial, refer to Acts 16:25-26. Reflection: Begin today declaring whatever comes your way, whether good or bad, you will continue to rejoice knowing He is already fighting for you. What things are you rejoicing for today? -Excerpts from the book 21 Days of Powerful Breakthroughs by Kemberley Washington.
