Addressing press at parliament the speaker says she is dismayed by this because she warned them against getting loans when they first came to parliament but they went ahead. President Museveni has today met his South Sudan counterpart, Gen Salva Kiir at State House Entebbe. The meeting was reportedly attended by Uganda’s senior army officers. the gathering came just a few hours after the South Sudan rebel leadership led by Dr Riek Machar’s deputy, Gen Alfred Lado Gore, agreed with Senior Presidential Advisor on Security and Defence, Gen Salim Saleh to put an end to hostilities. Gen Saleh led the Uganda Government Peace Support Team in talks that lasted four days in Kampala, ending Thursday. Kigozi warns Ugandans in up-country areas to watch their dealings with foreigners. ……………………… Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) have evicted 38 families who have been encroaching Katonga Game Reserve after compensating them with a sum of shs 2.97Bn. Katonga Game Reserve is shared by the districts of Kamwenge, Kyegegwa and parts of Kirihura . According to Uganda Wildlife Authority Executive Director, Dr. Andrew G Seguya , the families have been issued a six months ultimatum to have vacated the game reserve after compensating them and purchase land else where, outside the game reserve. The affected areas are Block 93, Kyabasita covering 25.700 hectares with 33 families and Block 94 Kisororo covering 262.308 hectares occupied by eight families. The encroachers are said to have taken advantage of the political instability to occupy and acquire land titles for the land that had been neglected by government in 1959 . …………………………………………….. Police in Kabale District have started investigations into the circumstances under which a 20 year old Innocent Bonabona was murdered. Bonabona, a resident of Katooma village in Kishayaki Sub County, Kabale District went missing on the 20th of August 2014 and his body was recovered yesterday buried, but with all limbs cut off.
