4 Of my good buddies are in marriage situations that have them crashing down somewhere between despair and divorce. A couple more are just grinding through... very little joy... very little hope. Its crushing me today... all of this pain... all of this disillusionment.... all of this disconnection and hopelessness. No one talks about it. Certainly not on Facebook with our little commercials about our perfect lives. People! The Enemy is at the gates.. 1,2,3,4 the Horsemen are at the door. The quest balances on a razors edge. Oh Lord.... today I pray for marriage. For everyone I know and love whos fighting the fight whos holding onto the dream for dear life. I teared up on the treadmill today when this song came on. This one goes out to my guys... to every hero the Devil is telling to give up, to give in to the lie that your perfect life is out there in another direction. This is a call to arms. Fight! Fight for your woman. Fight for love. Fight for your promise. Fight for the dream. Dont give up. Double down on love. Have the hard conversations. Find a way to bring the real with love. Your wives need to know your heart.... all you are. If other brothers are out there who are feeling the same despair.. pm me. Let me pray for you. For my sisters out there know the value of your words, your touch, your seeking of our hearts. We need you desperately. Please come after us with all you are... with all your light with all your brightness and softness into the dark caves we run to. You have incredible power to build us up or destroy us. To draw us in or send us spinning into our lonely black spaces. Sing your song to us again... the one you sang when we first met, when we were all you dreamed. Sing us to life again.
