4 PT tips to avoid GARDENING injuries this weekend! MILLIONS of Americans will want to get after those gardens during this long weekend. Heres how to make sure you can still move Tuesday AM... 1) PACE YOURSELF! Do not pull weeds for 8 straight hours. No body can tolerate that without causing some serious inflammation. Change tasks and/or take breaks every hour. Take a walk at the end of the day to get blood flowing into stiff muscles. 2) BEND YOUR KNEES! Your knees can tolerate squatting much more than your back tolerates long term bending. Maybe invest in one of those gardening stools... 3) HYDRATE! This doesnt include beer. Drink copious amounts of water if it is warm outside. Your muscles will thank you the next day. 4) USE THOSE LITTLE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSE TO HELP YOU! You know the ones... The people who are already saying they are bored and have nothing to do. Teaching them the art of yard work is good for them, and gets em away from the XBOX. Happy Memorial Day from Jointworx!
