4 people were turned away from Trenance Primary school despite being registered voters who held Zimbabwe metal ID documents and were told to go and renounce foreign citizenship first. They were Malawian decendants . This is against the new constitution that allows dual citizenship and whose provisions were confirmed by a constitutional court judgement that removed the requirement for Zimbabweans who also hold foreign passports to first denounce their other citizenship. It may explain the high turn away rate in Bulawayo Central in the wards of Trenance and Saursetown where in Saursetown Pre school polling station alone 18 people have been denied the vote by 11am. There is also a bit of disquiet over the presence of police officers in uniform inside polling stations. I noted them taking notes inside the station in 3 polling stations.
