This review made my day yesterday! “Best coffee in town as far as I know” 4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2015 NEW You might call me a coffee snob, but after living in Indonesia, Australia and Europe, frequenting delicious little cafes/coffee shops, moving to a small town in the States was quite a shock with the - sorry to say - but rather awful coffee. I was really keen to find a place in my hometown for some decent coffee. And even after trying a “French” influenced American owned local bakery in town that also disappointed me, I almost gave up. Until I came across Café Boheme, I was pleasantly surprised with this non-pretentious, warm and cozy café with lovely French music permeating softly through every nook and cranny has some tasty coffee - espresso, macchiato, cappuccino - as well as delicious filled crepes and many other treats! So grab a couch and some reading material (they provide some as well) for a relaxing morning/afternoon hot/cold/warm drink. Visited January 2015 4 of 5 stars Value 5 of 5 stars Atmosphere 4 of 5 stars Service 4 of 5 stars Food Thank you for this beautiful review that comments on so many things that I are so important for me to share with my customers: 1- non-pretentious, yes we are here to serve YOU, we are grateful that you chose to spend your hard won money in our coffee shops when you have choices... 2- warm and cozy: most places are cold, impersonal, they want you in and out, businesses are more and more geared towards volume instead of meeting the needs of each individual that walks through the doors. At Cafe Boheme we hope to make you feel special every time you visit, because you are, with your personality, your story, your tastes, your dreams and desires... 3- lovely French music: in a coffee shop, the music should invite conversation and dream as well as be relaxing... 4- tasty coffee: serving tasty coffee is not just a side effect of expensive machinery and great beans (something not so easy to find locally...), it takes tweaking and love... it took me over 2 years to be satisfied with the cafe we are serving, lots of trial and errors, lots of frustration with the beans I am working with and the roaster... But finally we came up with a roast that works. Then skill and love go into steaming the milk and the pour... 5- delicious crepes: our crepes are different, sometimes surprising our first time customers, but I always try to make it a point to let them know that they are traditional, made the way my grandmother, my great grandmother... used to make them. They are not dry like the ones made on the flat top of a crepe machine, they are moist and tender. Yes, they are smaller too but we serve you 2 to each order instead of 1! 6- Grab a couch and some reading material... Such a romantic concept! Exactly what a coffee shop should entice one to do... Hope to give each and every single one of you such an experience when you step into our space. And please review us, it makes all the difference to us!
