4 years ago I had a student teacher in my high school AP Government class that decided to do a program called Teach For America. He frequently talked about the program and how he was so excited to be placed in the Mississippi Delta. From then, my interest was sparked. Over my college career, I made it my goal to apply for Teach For America. A few months ago, I did just that. I applied and then crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. It was with great pride today that I accepted my position for Teach For America in Jacksonville, Florida. Im not sure what this next chapter holds for my life, but I could not be more excited to embark on it.
