4 years ago on this day I received an email that changed my life. I was introduced to Making Waves Canada and in 3 short months, in February 2011, the 1st ever session of Making Waves Winnipeg began with 10 swimmers and 10 instructors. We just finished our 9th session of Making Waves and I am truly amazed at how the organization has grown. None of this would have been possible without our incredible volunteers, our Board of Directors and all of our amazing swimmers (and their families). I have gotten to know so many of our families on a personal level over the past 4 years and it has truly been amazing. We now have 159 children in the program and we have hopes to bring that number over 200 in the next year. We truly are Making Waves and I wouldnt have it any other way. This organization and the kids we work with have made me the person I am today. To watch lessons and see the smiles on the kids faces brings tears to my eyes! We are making a DIFFERENCE!
