4 years ago today, I Diddnt have a clue what I was letting myself in for! I Thought Id start a few cheerleading classes were children who enjoyed dance and gymnastics could come along and do both these things together ! And what a whirlwind of a journey I have took with my hawks by my side! Opening a school at 19 in second year of university may have not been the smartest of moves as doing your dissertation is hard enough without starting up a business! But Im glad I did ! And wouldnt change it for the world! Started off with 20 members over 2 classes at belle uve sports centre and we have grown and grown over the years, now reaching 200 students with over 40 classes a week in our very own premises with our own dance studio and gymnasium ! I have had the pleasure to teach many girls and boys over these past 4 years, some have stayed and some have gone and I have enjoyed watching them all grow and develop :) Wether they have stayed at Hawks or have gone on to pursue other interests :) I have got to know some great people! People who I will cherish forever ! Those people who have got me thro the hard times and have been their for me! Couldnt have done it without my mam and dad believing in me and supporting me every day of my journey so far ! And also Kate standing by my side all the way and listening to me rant on till early hours about current situations, new routines or crazy ideas Ive had!!! Its safe to say we have had an amazing 4 years together, and now with the support of the national lottery grant I can finally get absolutely everything I need to give my hawks the very best training with top specialist equipment! The sky is the limit for Hawks, and we will continue to fly high helping our cheerleaders accomplish their goals no matter how big or small! Happy 4th Birthday Hawks, I am looking forward to spending many many more years with my ever growing family ! 💚 love you all and thank you all for your support xxx
