40 DAYS UNTIL RETIREMENT. I live in town. Not on a really busy street or anything, but just a couple of blocks from Ike, my old high school. Between ME and IT is a little par three golf course. When I sit here looking out the window all I can see (other than our little two lane street) is that golf course. Green pine trees, and acres of green grass. That is ALSO what I SMELL. As I sit here with the window open, and, as usual, a light breeze from the west, I smell pine trees and grass. The sprinklers are on now, making little rainbows. If I try hard enough I can smell those as well. It makes me very happy to know that in 40 days, I can make a HABIT of it, and it wont be something that happens only on the occasional Saturday or Sunday morning.
