40 Days of Passion By now, if we are really diving into our passion for the Lord, a change should be taking place. If we are spending these moments, daily, focusing on the Lord and our desire to be closer to Him, our desire to be used by Him, our desire to see passion for Him in others, then a transformation should be taken place within us. One that is visible to those around us. But sometimes, the middle of the journey is difficult. Sometimes, you are far enough from the catalyst that moved you into action that the propulsion is waning. You are not close enough to the end that you can say, I have done what I set out to do,” and pressing toward the mark might seem laborious. And in the middle of the journey, sometimes you find yourself going through the motions having lost your sense of why you came. Let us go back to the start. We are here because we were hungry for God. We felt stagnant in our walk. I began this because I was not satisfied with the way things were, in myself or my youth group. I wanted to see my youth and anyone I could reach push on toward a passion for the Lord. The journey IS the goal. We will never arrive. Not on this earth. And so, there is no time but now to put kindling on the flame. We are running toward the Light of the World! The end of this season is a time when we remember the rededication of the profaned temple and God’s provision in the light of redemption. So too, we remember the Light of the World that came, in a manger, wrapped in strips of cloth, to point us to HaShem, the God of Israel and all humankind, and to be our atonement once and for all. If you are in need of rest on this journey, then rest in His arms. Be refreshed and renewed so that you may reach the goal and attain the prize. Blessings! Isaiah 40:29 He gives strength to the weary, and to one without vigor He adds might. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, 31 but they who wait for ADONAIwill renew their strength. They will soar up with wings as eagles. They will run, and not grow weary. They will walk, and not be faint. (TLV) https://youtube/watch?v=gygo8Cl4W6E
