40 years back when Maulana Maikano (R.T.A) came up with Awwalul Waqt for Salatu Zuhr at 12 pm. The Wahhabis and other sects were against it, They said He has brought an innovation Bidah in Islam. One Well known Mallam Adam Baba, Old Tafo - Kumasi and his people used to criticize Baaba, throw stones to Baaba, his room and even at his buuta when its time for Zuhur Prayers. They call that specific prayer Sanlan Baaba . He also made several majlis in front of Baabas residence in Old Tafo to rain insults on Baaba. Baaba said to him When you have knowledge of this standard you will answer yourself by yourself. He went to Saudi Arabia to study when he came back to Ghana he encouraged his fellow Wahhabis to pray Salatu Zuhur at 11:30. They were surprised and asked why does he want them to perform Zuhr Prayer at that time.? He said Because Mallam Maikanos time is the truth we have no option but to follow it. It is no obvious that 50% of the Tijaniyya in Ghana follow that time but 100% of the Wahhabis are always with the time. Lesson: Sheikh Abdullahi Maikano (R.T.A) is the truth and hes with the truth.
