41. I think the saxophone and rainy mornings go together like peanut butter and jelly. I discovered this as young teen. I woke on a rainy morning to the sound of a saxophone. I looked out my window and across the street, sitting on the cement porch of a brick apartment house was a man with long blonde hair and a sax. He was playing so passionately and yet there was a sadness to his song. Aah… I know, it’s got all the makings of a sappy Harlequin. 42. Songs sung by the Italian crooners or Louis Armstrong always put a smile in my heart. 43. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of my grandmother. Luckily we shared so much that I have several lifetimes of memories to look back upon. Nothing but love there. 44. I do not like shopping malls or being in a small store with a large crowd of people. It causes my brain to zap like one of those electric bug killing lanterns. I make a very poor shopping buddy unless you want to go to a flea market, a bookstore, or a vintage thrift shop. 45. I want to make a real and feel book using Nate’s belly lint as main characters. Each one having its own name and personality and life story. Nate doesn’t like my idea at all. 46. Faces that are worn, wizened, elder or haggard are visually stimulating to me. It takes a lot of willpower for me to not start a conversation with someone who has a fascinating face and I don’t always bother stopping myself. 47. I watch The Mysteries of Sherlock Holmes on PBS. Sherlock intrigues me. 48. I spent a couple years of my life being a BIG, FAT, HAIRY, LIAR. Phew! Glad that’s over! I was sick in the head during my 20’s and understandably so. I’m honest to a near fault now. 49. Meeting new people is something I always look forward to doing. I’m a very social person. 50. I have a thing for products with my name or nickname in them. My lipstick is called Sherry Sparkle. My lip gloss is called Sugar. I cook with Sherry and I call my boys Sugarbabies. Songs with either of my names in them are big hits with me. Sugar cookies are one of my favorite treats. What’s wierd is that I often think about changing my name to Chloë or Willow. 51. My left leg is shorter than my right. It’s only when I’m tired that my slight limp becomes noticable. 52. My garden is my place of meditation. In the Twilight hours water flows out of Pan’s Flute into the basin below. Tiki Torches are lit on all four corners and soothing music such as Dueter’s, Buddha Nature is piped out. It’s a good time to just sit, breathe and reflect. The morning hours are much more energetic. It’s alive with the sound of birds and children and quite often jazz is playing in the background. I spend most of my days out there. I’m an avid gardener. 53. I’ve never gone to the beach or to an amusement park without getting my fortune from the nostalgic, animatronics Fortune Teller machine. 54. I’ll get down on my knees to watch a spider walk across the floor. The synchronized movements of all those legs is just amazing. Arachnids rule. I want a pet Tarantula. 57. I dressed up as a fairy for every single Halloween as a child. 58. The smell of a forest after a night of rain is the scent of heaven to my nose. 59. I’m not religious. I’m spiritual. 60. Laughing at myself comes very easily to me.
