48. Zoom in & out considering all contexts from yours to the universe & back. (This is very important for a writer. If I dont fully consider the perspective of every character as well as the perspective of the scene/play as a whole as well as the perspective of the audience, I am missing opportunities. Opportunities to flesh out characters, relationships, moments. It also helps create a world that feels genuinely inhabited. I love moments that use peripheral characters. I love projects that consider every character has a life and a thought, feeling and opinion. They came from somewhere and are going some place. Take Citizen Kane as an example. Welles could have made Kane the main character of every scene. He fills the screen with hundreds of minor characters that tell the story better than Kane himself could. This is my favorite scene. It really starts about 1:30, but the lead up is great, too, exemplifying todays tip. https://youtube/watch?v=fFAq27TK9l8)
