4TH DAY REPORT (28 AUGUST)) 29th national eye donation awareness fortnight (25th August to 8 sept) organised by Punarjot eye bank society ludhiana. Glimpses and briefings. 1. Living legend motivator for eye donation movement in India,self example,Dinesh Aggarwal owner of Kala shree showroom of Jullunder who donated his young son Archit and young nephew Dhruv,eyes after tragic road side accident in which four members were died few years ago,in spite of great grief and tragedy. He gave motivational lecture during large gathering in event organised by Punarjot branch Phagwara lead by Ashok Mehra in association with S S Jain Sabha Phagwara. Ashok Mehra honoured sahil and sanket both children who has helped to donate their fathers eye after death.,,,salute to them.......sahil S/o sh late Jeet ram and sanket s/o sh late Azad kumar both from Phagwara. Our eye bank associate Nawanshar eye donation society members also motivated the public with their work profile. Dr Shammy Krishnan cornea fellow from Kerala of punarjot eye bank society presented eye donation talk and tips for school eye screening for students. We salute the work done to promote the eye donation by students ,all teaching fraternity,school management and S s jain Sabha Phagwara. May God bless all. 2. Family members of S Nachattar singh age 67 years of village Jassowal soodan donated his eye after home death to our eye bank. We thanked the eye donor family for contribution in noble cause. A patient from Saharanpur U P got benefit his donated eyes. 3. Manmohan singh councillor of ward no 6 ludhiana visited eye bank exhibition,pledged his eyes and paid tributes to eyes donors of 2013-14. 4. Many visitors visited exhibition and promised to work for eye donation movement. We hereby giving humble request to all well wishers to visit our 15 days eye donation awareness cum mass eye donor tribute ceremony ,exhibition and participate in noble cause. Those who are unable to visit due to any circumstances they are most welcome to like and share the this wall post so that message should go to each and corner of our country to eradicate corneal blindness from india and world also.
