4th SPECIAL FORCES BATTALION, Isabela City – A Project Dolphin II: Brigada Masjid was launched by the Dolphin Troopers at the Margads Mosques, Lipunan, Isabela City Basilan, today, 19 June 2014. The concept of the project is the conduct of Provincial wide mass cleaning of mosque within the proximity of Battalion and Company Headquarters, CAA and SCAA Patrol Bases and CVOs Detachments and within its periphery. It was further highlighted by the opening ceremony conducted by this unit at the Margads Mosque in the presence of Tabligh students together with Ustadz Aidarus Ismael and Ustadz Farruds Pulunan, representatives from Ulama Supreme Council. LTC ELIGLEN F VILLAFLOR INF (GSC) PA, Commander, 4th Special Forces Battalion serves as the key note speaker in the said opening program. Special Forces Companies to include CAA/ SCAA/ CVO Detachments deployed in the province are simultaneously conducting Brigada Masjid today and will last until 28 July 2014. The intent of this project is to prepare the mosque to be the cleanest place possible in time for the celebration of our Muslim brothers for the Holy Month of Ramadan. As Soldier and Christian, we are mandated by our creator to be of service to our fellow regardless of color, race and religion, LTC VILLAFLOR said. One realization that our soldiers in Basilan must realized is that while we are serving our people with God as our center, we are also facing with a facts that the people we serving also treat Allah as the center of their lives the Battalion Commander added. - written by Lt.
