5.0 out of 5 stars - Remarkable Recollection of a Life Well Spent - A wonderful journey you wont want to miss August 25, 2014 By Linda Kendall McLendon As happens so often these days, I met MitzyTait-Zeller via face book. It didnt take long to discover how different our lives were and yet how much we had in common. We were soon shipping copies of our books to each other. In Rim-Fyre and the Stones of Time, Mitzys descriptions, knowledge of horses, the terrain, and the Native and natural ancient ways, sent me on a mystical path that became a page-turner. I felt as if I rode every mile with her. I couldnt wait to find a quiet moment to begin Hoof Prints On My Heart - Mitzys recollection of her true life experiences over the past thirty-two years. After reading only a few pages, her writing style made me feel as if we were having a conversation. Her words created vivid images in my mind and the photos she shared backed up what I was imagining. Mitzy has the ability to take you with her -- whether she in the truck hauling her first horse,Toby, home to horse heaven or standing with one of her beloved four-leggeds waiting for the veterinarian knowing that awful feeling of having to say a final goodbye. You may be flying across the ocean with her to fulfill a dream of riding in the Snowy Mountains of Australia, fighting winter storms of snow and ice, or watching as your farm goes under water in aptly named Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada. You will climb aboard with her and her group of kids and ride in a parade or in a few chapters be pinch hitting as she drives the plow truck pushing snow. It wont take you long to be in awe of what this gal is able to accomplish all without missing a lick of stride. Add to that her knowledge of horses and her love and dedication to the preservation of the Canadian Horse, a breed I didnt even know existed before reading Mitzys books, and you will be captivated. I reminisced comparing my own smaller life with hers -- crying at the saddest of moments, laughing at the crazy antics, and then deeply admiring the guts and heart of this remarkable woman. She wears many hats, but for me, I feel blessed to have her on my special list now -- that of my friend. Cant wait for both of us to get back to creating and once again be able to sit down and read her next great adventure. Linda Kendall McLendon Author of Unintended Lies and Accidental Lives
