It is The Walking Dead with a splash of Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom. I read a couple reviews that complained about the gore. Really? This is a Zombie book. Complaining about gore in a zombie book is like complaining about nudity at a strip club. Everyone is entitled to their opinions of course, but honestly if gore grosses you out, there is always the Twilight series for you. After Death certainly isnt for fans of sparkly teen vampires. This was my second Zombie genre book. My first was World War Z, which I never finished. I found After Death to be superior to WWZ. It was fast paced, with lots of really cool Zombie kills. And be warned, it is never obvious who lives and who dies. The author Lacombe is not afraid to kill off main characters. I recommend this book to everyone looking for a fun read about rampaging zombies with sit on the edge of your seat suspense.
