5:00 Mass was hard. Sat where Michael Tuttle and I used to sit. He went to the church with me about 2 years ago, and absolutely loved it. After that Mass, he wrote me a letter thanking me for many things and telling me he loved me. He went to church every weekend after that. Even in Las Vegas he searched out a church and went there every week. When he told me what he wanted, it was for a memorial at this church (10am on January 10th). The Priest dedicated this Mass and both the 9am and 11am Masses tomorrow, to Mike. He would have been so proud, then embarrassed, then secretly happy. The Priest talked about offering small and large things to God. Like a good deed, feeding someone (even an animal), or offering your grief to God. I am offering my grief to God. Thinking about the future on how I can honor Mike. Our church does relief work in Haiti. As I have already done relief work in Central America, Bosnia and Croatia, Haiti would be right up my alley.
