$5.4 Million. Thats correct, $5.4 Million. Thats what has been received on Outstanding Criminal matters during my first term. That amount was collected with the use of only a phone, a computer screen and a postage stamp. My decision to recall 13,500 arrest warrants in August 2011 was based in the law and supported by the Texas Attorney General Opinion I requested and then received from Greg Abbott in January 2012. I stood by my decision then and I stand by my decision now. We have successfully put in place efficient and cost effective measures to collect on outstanding matters and for the Fiscal Year just ended on September 30th, we achieved 104% of our Revenue Budget Projection (which is set by the Travis County Commissioners Court). My opponent gets his facts wrong when he says weve lost money. If my opponent cant get the facts right while out on the campaign trail, how would he get them right in the courtroom. bassfortexas
