5 Exercises I NEVER leave out of my program: 1) Hip thrust or variation 2) Turkish Get Up (Half or Full) 3) Ab wheel 4) Chin up or Pullup 5) Deadlift (Sumo, Snatch or trap bar) Why: 1) Hip strength/eliminating my excessive anterior pelvic tilt is a priority in lessening my chances for back pain and increasing potential for a 6 pack. 2) Turkish Get Up combines mobility and stability in areas that need it (groin, hips, shoulder, t-spine) 3) Simplest (not easiest) and super effective ab exercise. My favorite workout - I hurt EVERY time - is 10 sets of 10 reps of kneeling ab wheel. Rest 40s between each set. 4) Including these in my program, especially since I used to only be able to do 3-4 chin-ups at a time, has increased my overall body strength dramatically. 5) The hip hinge is one of the most important movement patterns humans perform day in and day out. Personally, I stick to sumo, snatch grip or trap bar. What are your favorite/essential 5?
