5 June. There is one law that we could change that would vastly change the immigration problem. Just because you are born here does not make you a citizen. Both parents should be legal Americans. If one is, the other must show progress towards legalization and continue till they are a legal citizen of the United States of America before the child can be classified as a legal resident. That would vastly reduce the amount of people crossing our border, flying in at just the right moment so they can ride the back of the very child they gave birth to as a way to become a citizen. It really wouldnt take any more time or paperwork to track these people as it does today. This would also reduce the amount of people trying to marry a citizen just to become one. That way we can stop with all this immigrant hating and continue to say, Love Yall Mean It.
