5. MATERIAL AND SECULAR APPROACH - The scientific interpretation of the physical laws of nature makes man secular and materialistic in his approach to life and its problems. This turns religion into a personal affair between Allah and an individual, which very often leads to no religion at all. Thus, secularism became the order and fashion of the day. Everything was interpreted and judged in terms of material gains and worldly interest alone. The entire pattern of life of modern man in Western society changed. He became the symbol of self-centered epicurism, striving only to maximize his personal pleasure, gains and comfort. Nations, constituted of such individuals, started the game of exploitation all around the world for the benefit of their people in order to raise their standard of living on a continuous basis. As a result, they filled the earth with bloodshed, oppression and tyranny.
