5 May 2014 Press alert: Limpopo textbooks case judgment to be handed down tomorrow Johannesburg – Judge Tuchten is set to hand down judgment in the Limpopo textbooks case on 6 May 2014 at 10h00 at the North Gauteng High Court. This case was brought by Basic Education For All (BEFA) and 17 other applicants, who seek to compel the National Department of Basic Education and the Limpopo Department of Education to deliver textbooks to 39 schools, draft a plan for the delivery of textbooks to other affected schools in the province and ensure independent monitoring of delivery. BEFA and their legal representatives, SECTION27, will be available for comment once judgment is handed down.
