5/November/2013 #TheEngraftedWord: But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. There is no law against these things. (Galatians 5:22-23, NLT). If you have the Holy Spirit in your life, then you have the above virtues in you. These are the things that form your CHARACTER. But just like a seed, it has to grow into a fruit. It is your responsibility to grow in character. Life will present unpalatable situations to you. People will offend and hurt you. But just like a muscle builder who visits the gym, such experiences are the weight with which you can build your character capacity. We all have different capacities to love, be good, be patient etc. It all has to do with how much you have developed yours through the help of the Holy Spirit. If you have some character flaws, it is time to be deliberate and ask the Holy Spirit to help you. We all have flaws you know. It is just that some people work on themselves more than others.
