5 November 2014 @ 18:00 (local Ushuaia time) STAGE 2 IS COMPLETE AND RESULTS ARE ON THE WEBSITE. 4deserts/thelastdesert/results Todays Stage was relocated to Gonzalez Videla, on the Antarctic mainland, after ice prevented the ship from reaching the planned location for Stage 2. The course was located on a large plateau overlooking penguin colonies with mystical mountain ranges in the distance. The terrain included deep snow which never seemed to flatten making it a very very tough day for all. However, weather conditions were perfect. The leaders after Stage 2 are Chema Martínez (Jose Manuel Martinez Fernandez) of Spain, Isis Breiter of Mexico and team Old Misfits (Stefan Danis from Canada, Anastasios Votis from Greece and Michael Gilgen from Switzerland). Atul Patki said Outside is beautiful but inside it sucks. Megan Stewart of New Zealand, said I felt like I was having a dream. I couldnt believe where I was. Bruce Walker of Scotland said Ripper, what a course. All are now safety back on the expedition ship. Tomorrows Stage 3 is expected to take place on Danko Island.
