5 PILLARS OF ISLAM 1. Shahada- To testify that there is no deity except Allah and that Muhammad is The Messenger of ALLAH 2. Salah- Daily prayers that is to be perform five times a day by all Muslims. Fajr (Dawn Prayer--2 rakats) Dhuhr (Noon Prayer--4 rakats) Asr (Afternoon Prayer--4 rakats) Maghrib (Sunset Prayer-3 rakats) Isa (Night Prayer--4 rakats) 3. To pay Zakat (The obligatory Charity)- It is an obligation for those who have received their wealth from God to respond to those members of the community in need. Zakat must be paid on different categories of property — gold, silver, money; livestock; agricultural produce; and business commodities — and is payable each year after one year’s possession. It requires an annual contribution of 2.5 percent of an individual’s wealth and assets. 4. Fast the month of Ramadan- Ramadan occurs once each year during the 9th lunar month, the month of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar in which: "…the Quran was sent down as a guidance for the people."
