5 REASONS WHY YOUR FAILED PRESIDENT KOROMA HAS NOT DECLARED A STATE OF HEALTH EMERGENCY AND SACK HIS DISGRACED MINISTER OF HEALTH. We are shocked, gutted and deeply saddened to hear about the passing away of Dr Khan, a hero who sacrificed and took the risk to save our people from Ebola. RIP Dr Khan. Our people are dying, yet YOUR failed president Koroma REFUSED to declare a state of heath emergency and sack his disgraced Health Minister for the following five reasons: 1. NO RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE OF SIERRA LEONE: Your president may not have respect for the people of Sierra Leone. He could listen to foreign agents who dedicates to him how to govern the country, but may not listen to people of Sierra Leone who voted for him. Your president’s likely associates: Tony Blair, Fank Timis, the Chinese and some selfish shareholders at African Minerals, London Mining maybe control his life and tell him what to do and how. Who is the President of Sierra Leone? 2. NO CARE FOR PEOPLE INFECTED WITH EBOLA. Your president maybe careless about people dying of Ebola as long as he is safe. Since the outbreak of Ebola, he only recently visited victims . Not sure if he visited Dr Khan before his death. Your president may not care about the people and so he cannot act to stop the disease. What is your president doing to stop Ebola? 3. NO MONEY IN SIERRA LEONE. Your president may be afraid to declare a state of emergency because our country is broke. There is little or no money in the bank. A state of emergency will cause serious economic trouble. Our country is in huge debt and we cannot afford to pay salaries and run our country without generating income in a month. A state of emergency will affect the stock market ---African Minerals will go bankrupt. Corrupt leaders are exploiting our country. So where is all our money and the donor funds? 4. NO VISIT TO OBAMA IN AMERICA. Your president can not travel to American to meet his political icon and mentor, in a state of emergency. He would not be allowed to travel to the USA, and so he will not declare a state of emergency. He may be planning to neglect his dying people back home and fly to meet with Obama very soon. Is this a responsible president? 5. NO MONOLOGUE RADIO PROGRAMME. Your president may have banned monologue, in order for him to monopolise the country. Without David Tambayor, there is no one to hold him accountable. So your president is now the monologue and the country belongs to only him. Sierra Leone is now his personal property and he can do whatever. Your president should bow his head in shame and disgrace after what he did to poor David Tambayor who could have helped to raise awareness about Ebola. Your president maybe the Commander of corruption and Fountain of tribalism. Do you still trust this president? Above all, your president is so fascinated by the beauty of the Minister of Health,such that he cannot do with her. They both may be partners in crime. Your president must sack that health minister now, to prove that he can do without her. However, from a human rights point of view, we have some reservations about declaring a State of Emergency at this time and in time of peace, as this may lead to dictatorship. We fear that a state of emergency maybe used by your president to silence, suppress or discourage political dissent. Your president could be a world class dictator and he can do anything during a State of Emergency including amending laws without parliament for his alleged third term presidency. At this initial stage, we are calling for a STATE OF HEALTH ALERT. Please plead with your president to use common sense, show sympathy and declare a state of HEALTH ALERT, and get people voluntarily tested for Ebola in affected areas. Let your president reconsider the five reasons above and help save lives. One life is worth than and better than everything in this world. The country must be on HEALTH ALERT for 30 days and help get rid of Ebola. We only need 30 days to save our people from dying. You can only travel if you have been tested negative. We need serious border controls and travel restrictions. We did it for the war, and so we can do the same for Ebola. BRING BACK MONOLOGUE TO HELP FIGHT EBOLA. STATE OF HEALTH ALERT
