Its my sincere hope that people will read this book and many more like it..the book may be a work of fiction, but not so much as for anyone to say no, never..those things cant possibly ever happen. We look around at our modern lives and cant see the lives were all accustomed to turning into lives of mayhem, starvation and terror..the thought of being killed because someone wants my car, my knife or even my dinner of beans and bread? Seems unimaginable..but people who live in other countries..these events are commonplace in their daily lives. Why doesnt that happen in America? It does. But on a small scale. In Annies book, the electricity stopped flowing. Electricity. The TV and refrigerator dont work..seems pretty benign, until its the persistent norm. The absolute best thing for any of us to do is prepare now..not so well have things that others dont, but so we..the mothers, fathers, husbands and wives, our own children..Will have no reason to go out and be in the midst of mayhem. Its not fear mongering. Where do you live? Are you prone to floods, hurricanes, snow, tornadoes..a little extra food and diapers put away for your baby could very well save their lives. When things are going great..people promise to help, promptly extend a hand..but when their own families have needs, especially for the long-term..decisions will have to be made. Depend on yourself. Depend on the Lord. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.. Throughout the book are numerous resources listed for further information..please check it out and consider your home situation. I too am a Chick..I am a mother..I prep because I dont think I could bear watching her starve. Excellent book. Excellent advice.
