5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. 7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. 8 It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. Proverbs 3 Sometimes you find yourself in circumstances in life where you cant tell what the outcome will be.. Things you hope and pray for but have absolutely no control over. Things that could discourage and even hurt you, but you continue on in life. Its like the time I was lost in the fog on the river. No lights, no navigation, no sense of where I was. I felt like I was going in the right direction, but it was evident that I was going around in circles. That night, if I would have hit any rocks I could have ended up ship wrecked. I realized it was a foolish mistake to have not turned around before the fog had fully settled in. I began to worry. But then I pleaded with God for mercy through this and I trusted him in my circumstance. Sometimes life it feels that way. You want to head a certain direction or make a certain decision and you find yourself in an ocean of darkness with no sign of what to do. No light house to guide you through the hidden valley. Im not speaking of the main course that we have in life of following Christ, but rather the small and large decisions we make in life. This almost sounds like a hopeless situation, but I find that when you submit everything to the sovereignty of God, with whatever the outcome might be, it is God who comforts you. It is God who blesses you. It is God who gives you salvation. It is God who is the source of satisfaction in life. He makes our paths straight. Ultimately it leads back to Christ.
