5 mo old, 16.11 lbs girl. Ive done extensive research on playards/pens/pack n plays, but as a FTM I dont know which is my best investment long term? We live in a large one bedroom apt right now (w/ fireplace) but will be getting a 2-3 bedroom house by her first birthday. Obviously she would have no use for the bassinet or changer features because of her wt, but she has outgrown her swing and I need a place to keep her close by where she can sleep and play safely while Im doing chores. She hated since birth a bassinet we tried borrowing and will only take short naps in her crib. We dont do any distant traveling except on major holidays. She has never taken a liking to my trying to wear her because she likes her freedom to kick around (very hyperactive and playful, not a snuggler except at bedtime). What is my best CHEAPEST investment option? Old fashioned playpen or a playard/pnp? How long do playards usually last for big babies—well into toddler years? Reusable for future kids? TIA!-Sharon
