5 things I learnt about Man U after last nights game. 1. Moyes does have half a brain, and that half is learning now. A tad retarded, but learning nevertheless. 2. Substitutions were pretty on the spot. Valencia has a second career as a right back; Januzaj should slot into the first team ahead of every other name bar De Gea, Rooney, Van Persie, and Kagawa. Hernandez is a lethal sub and deserves at least to start all league cup, FA cup, and matches involving Stoke (hes ALWAYS scoring against hapless Stoke City). 3. Moyes doesnt have a reliable Central Defence pairing anymore - in fact, he should be looking for TWO central defenders during the January transfer window. Jones, Evans, and Smalling a bit part players at best, and not for the long term. Jones, in particular, has been in terminal free fall since last seasons imperious form against Real Madrid where he virtually marked Ronaldo to a dead standstill. Blame the coach and the manager again. 4. Kagawa is crucial to Man Us push to retain the title. His place just behind the two strikers is the difference between an incisive United, and one that dithers along hoping for a break to be tossed their way by a wayward pass, or a sleeping back 4 from the opposing team. 5. I dont mind watching 3-2, 4-3, or 2-1 victories. Just win the bloody games playing classic, pedal on the floor, no holds barred Man U attacking football.
