5 years ago today I made the worst judgement call of my life. After nearly 22 years of sobriety I picked up a drink because I truly believed I had outgrown it. The next year and a half would nearly take my life and would nearly destroy relationships with everyone I held dear. After several hospitalizations and six weeks of rehab, I finally got it. Three and a half years ago I took my last drink. My life is precious and I am strong. I live it only one day at a time because I know I can do anything for one day. My relationships are better than ever and I was sober when my dear friend, father and husband died... Thank God. If theres anyone out there contemplating taking that first drink again, feel free to contact me before you do. Ill be happy to give you the black side of your rosy picture. Very grateful for todays life.
