5 years ago today, the Supreme Court announced their decision on the Citizens United case. This ruling completely changed campaign finance laws in the US and allowed more money than ever to pervade the electoral process. Today, I introduced H.J. Res. 24, a Constitutional Amendment allowing Congress and individual states to rein in campaign contributions. I urge my colleagues to move forward with this legislation and to restore fairness to the political process.
