5 years ago when I started competitive shooting it was rare that you shot the long guns on the move. It was just too risky. The fierce competition in the 3-Gun Nation Pro Series has upped the level of competition to the point where shooting and moving with all three guns is mandatory if you want to win. Here is a little drill that I like to run to work on shooting on the move. Im running my Stoeger Industries M3000 shotgun and MGM Targets clay pigeon holders. My goal is to clear the array while moving as fast as possible. I focus on staying as low as possible to use my legs as shock absorbers so the gun and sights arent moving up and down. This is where taking video of yourself really helps. You always feel like your crouching a lot lower then you actually are and videos such as this tells you exactly where youre at. I also focus on moving in a straight line. We all have a natural tendency to move towards the targets as we are shooting on the move. youtube/watch?v=-zAfHbB_zew&sns=em
