50 Days of Thankfulness. Day #6: Mark Bassett For 50 Days, in an effort to build unity, we are encouraging everyone to declare your thankfulness for your brethren. It is time we start building each other up, rather than tearing each other down. Write a post, write a card, give a hug, whatever. But let some brother or sister know how much you love them every day of this challenge. Mark is a Junior at BVBID, a former police officer and a veteran of the Navy. So, here are three reasons I am thankful for him involving LEAD. 1. He LEADS in the classroom. Mark is an excellent Bible student - one of the best, if not the best, with whom I have had the pleasure of sharing a classroom. And not just in an academic way - Mark is a true student of the Bible. 2. He LEADS in his family. Mark is a man that understands his first and foremost responsibility is to lead his family to the Lord. And it shows in a Godly wife, Mrs. Christa, two wonderful Godly daughters, one of which has a Christian home of her own with Marks son-in-law and grandson. That good family begins with its head. 3. He LEADS spiritually. Mark is a leader in the church - he has served as an elder. He leads souls to the Lord - he is a talented and effective preacher and teacher. He leads in the school - in word, deed, and love. I am grateful for Mark, his good family, and his friendship. I am thankful the Lord blessed us by bringing them into our lives in Denver. #50DaysOfThankfulness #ILoveBVBID #BVBID50 EXTRA POINT: Mark is a tough guy, but he has a heart of gold!
