50 Years Ago November 22nd On this date 50 years ago John Fitzgerald Kennedy was taken from this earth. To many of you reading this, its simply history, but the impact of that day will never be forgotten by those of us who experienced it. President John Kennedy was blessed with the ability to capture the true hearts of the American people he served. John Kennedy was extremely blessed with charisma, an English word derived from the Greek meaning favor freely given or gift of grace. His words were powerful, yet elegant, and they came from his heart, a heart that was for the Americans he represented as President of the United States. Personally speaking, over the past 50 years I havent seen one U.S. president who has been able to achieve that same intimate connection with Americans. Our current president is very well spoken. He speaks with much eloquence, but his words are hollow and without substance. Theres simply no heart connection evident between him and those hes supposed to be serving. What happened to government ruled for the people and by the people? Its become what the leader wants, not what the majority of those he serves want. The connection between Americans and their president has been lost. Was John Kennedy perfect? Of course not, none of us are! But the basic qualities for a great leader, and even a great person are honesty, integrity and the humbleness to serve and never dictate. A great leader is never self serving no matter what the consequences. He is to be the power to accomplish the will of we the people. I guess those precious words have become hollow as well. God bless America. Im so thankful that God is ultimately in control of America and its destiny through His son Jesus Christ.
