50 things I Love About My Mom: 1. She is my # 1 supporter! 2. She is the best cook in the world. Ask anyone who’s eaten at her house. 3. She is loving. 4. She is amazing. 5. The way she looks at me when I’m preaching ;). 6. Many adopt her as their own mom. 7. She is lovable. 8. She is super hospitality woman. 9. Her ability to flip accents between Jamaican to the Queens English. 10. Her untiring kindness. 11. Her sympathy. She’ll hurt more for me than I do. How is that possible?? 12. Her ability to encourage in the face of pure darkness. 13. Her resilience! 14. Her decision to follow Christ fully almost 15 years ago. 15. When I was in the second grade, our school had field trip. My mom was one of the chaperones. I remember being blown away by how all the kids wanted to be around her. I think thats the first time I recognized her superpowers. 16. More superpowers: Her kisses would heal my cuts. :) 17. Her ability to inspire me. 18. Her ability to make any house she enters sparkle clean within the blink of an eye. 19. Her high regarded for cleanliness. When we were growing up, and would be commissioned to clean the house, we would toil all day, only to have mom come home and ask “did you guys even clean?” Then, she’d go through the house and make all our hard work look like it was nothing. 20. Her lioness protective over her cubs. 21. She is forgiving. 22. Her ability to go make it through trials that I could not imagine going through. 23. Her ability to treat everyone with amazing respect. 24. That she taught us to teach others with respect. To this day, if you are one year older than me you are respected as my elder. 25. She taught us how to be merciful. 26. She taught us how to be kind. 27. Her ability to treat others like royalty. 28. Her ability to love everybody. 29. Her relation with Atonte whom I also love 50 things about. 30. She is a supergrandmom. 31. Her work ethic is incredible. 32. Her reliance on God. 33. Her Jamaican sayings. She sometimes sounds like Chinese sage. Sometimes I dont even get the saying, but I know its deep, just the way she said it and will leave me thinking for days! “They say rivers travel the world, but an ocean spans the land.” 34. She is inspiring. 35. Her ability to succeed. 36. Her self sacrificing spirit. 37. Her giving spirit. 38. How she can make friends with anyone. 39. The victories in Jesus that she has experienced. 40. Her soothing words. 41. Her optimism. 42. Her love of family. 43. Her compassion. 44. Her laughter. 45. Her laughter when we tickle her. 46. Her stories about Mas so and so, and Mas, so and so. 47. Her impartiality. 48. How I’m still her “baby”! 49. When I was growing up the smell of the awesomest Jamaican breakfast would wake me up. 50.
