50 years ago, in 1963, the year I was born, Mr. Jimmy Gault started the band program at Saltillo high school. He continued to serve as the band director at Saltillo for some 20 years afterward. In honor of his contributions to Saltillo High School we will be honoring him during our annual "Band Night" which will be held pregame this Friday night, Oct 4. If u knew Mr. Gault, were one of his students, or know someone that was one of his students, and are in the area this Friday, come out & help us honor Mr. Gault & celebrate this milestone for the Saltillo Band. He has told me that several of his former students went on to be music teachers. Hopefully some of you will see this post & have the opportunity to come out & celebrate with us this Friday.
