50 years on the March on Washington continues to inspire and call us all to action. The bravery and courage of the civil rights activists in the US at the time cannot be underestimated. While all of the aims of their efforts have not been achieved, we live in a better world for them. I would like to thank all of the heroes of the civil rights movement of that era. I humbly call myself an activist and can only hope to achieve a small modicum of the kind of positive social change that they have created for all our benefit.
