#5136 *those good old days* Ive seen my parents fighting. not exactly fighting though. Ive seen my ma scolding dita for bringing filthy Chappals inside the house, for skipping his meals. I never found dita guilty on his part. he was very particular with everything. he was one of the most respected elders in the locality. but my dita never said a word against my ma. He never retaliated. I see him hiding his smile behind his mustache when ma gets mad at him. adorable they both were. ma never takes her meal before dita is done with his. she used to wait for dita to get back home freshen up and have his meal. Ive seen the content in her eyes and face after dita compliments her maasor tenga anja or omita khar. he gets mad at her too for not taking her pills at time and adding sugar in her tea without ditas knowledge. After offering her puja in the gukhai ghor Ive seen her waiting for dita to return. theyll share a few pleasantries sipping that bitter tea made without sugar. Ive seen my ma silently weeping in the kitchen when once my brother shouted at dita for being a pest and calling him up again and again when he was out with his friends. dita dint say a word. He pretended he was fine but deep inside he was really hurt. Ive seen them getting old together. Ma sitting next to my ailing father hiding her tears and pretending to laugh at ditas every attempt to cheer her up cracking the same old jokes. Being married to the person Ive known for more than 3 years we dont lack a thing in our relation. weve proper understanding, space, love everything. But I miss those silly fights, resentment, those sweet pleasantries shared after a tiresome day. I wish I could live my parents life atleast for a day. :) I miss being missed. 26/F
