#52: PRISONERS Hugh Jackman stars as a father on the brink of sanity when his daughter goes missing. Cop Jake Gyllenhaal goes on the search and comes face to face with pedophile suspect, Paul Dano. But did he do it? Jackman thinks so and risks his family on it. The movie has an all-star cast with Terence Howard, Maria Bello, Viola Davis and Melissa Leo. I kind of compare this movie to used patio furniture. It is cracking, flaky, falling apart yet it is still comfortable and compliments your deck. But you gotta throw it out. The star power compliments this films extremely flaky script but even that cant save the movie from falling in on itself. I am not sure I ever bought the story or the over-the-top situations. This movie so desperate to be creepy, unforgiving, shocking and well good but never is. Id throw it out and never look back! 2 out of 5 So Says the Soothsayer. youtu.be/1kWeHtI63jc
