52 years ago today, Linda and I were married at the old courthouse in Guntersville, Alabama. So, it is our Anniversary. I visited her resting place in Oxford, Alabama at the DOGWOOD TRAILS MEMORIAL GARDENS yesterday afternoon, after spending the better part of the day with Grandchildren, Shelley, Ashie, Wesley, and did get to see Patrick briefly. We shared some thoughts and memories of Linda, and Shelley told me some interesting things about things the kids say about her. They were old enough to grasp her passing, and remember her and talk about her..with Shelley, they dont have much choice. But, they dont mind, they are like their Mother, they loved her and still do, and the memories are fresh and will linger thru their lives. Linda, would like and appreciate that, and so do I. At her viewing, shortly before her service, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren all wrote little notes and placed them with her, and some, placed money in her hand, or beside her. That, is a treasure beyond measure. Small, but powerful expressions from children..and memorable too.
