57 YEARS AGO TODAY, Charles and Evelyn Thompson drove from Jacksonville, North Carolina to Charlotte, North Carolina on a mission to start a family. When they arrived in Charlotte, they came home with a son named Paul Allan. 57 years ago this was my new birthday until I went to 1st grade! One day while I was in First Grade I came home and as my Mom was in the kitchen, I asked her if I was adopted and what does that mean? She immediately took me to the table as we sat at the quarter end of the kitchen table she told me how much Dad and her loved me. She had my undivided attention (most likely the only time ever) as she explained simply that they drove to Charlotte, and went into a room filled with children, My Daddy (Charles) went right to my crib and picked me out of the bed and I had the BIGGEST SMILE on my face! Dad told the workers that his name is going to be Paul. My Mom, named me Allan, after some friends who lived next door to them on the Marine Corp Base, Camp Le June, in Jacksonville (Onslow County), North Carolina. After a year and a half a stork brought my parents, my beautiful Sister Patricia Ann was born on August 26th. The caseworker who was checking on my welfare, asked my Father if he wanted to return Paul back to Charlotte? Dad immediately replied No, he is our son forever!, Thank you for our family! So, in HONOR this year, of my wonderful parents (who I so desperately wish were here, I so honor this Magical Day, and Dedicate this day, Tuesday, November 4th, 2014 to THE GREATEST PARENTS, that God ever put on this earth! Forgive me, for having tears in my eyes as I remember this day forever, very PROUDLY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL ALL AN THOMPSON, you are 57 years wiser, stronger and happier because two beautiful took time to give you a fantastic CHRISTIAN HOME! I want to thank everyone who has been apart of my beautiful life.... I am so proud to be the brother to Patricia Horowitz and William Thompson!
