Offshore flow will increase late tonight...as the pressure gradient increases in response to a strong high pressure system moving into the Southern Plains. There is a slight chance for showers tonight through Tuesday as surface forcing increases with the increased winds and high pressure. Much colder air with the strong high pressure will move into the waters Tuesday afternoon...resulting in strong offshore flow...with gusts near or in excess of gale force...lasting through Wednesday. Wind speeds will begin to decrease as the center of a surface high pressure system enters south Texas Wednesday night. Onshore flow will develop by Thursday as the high pressure system moves east.
