6.00a.m Main News On Radio Delta Melody FM 88.6, by Christy Jaho-Ayenuku The Headlines: - A Lagos court of appeal has dismissed murder and conspiracy charges levelled against Major Hamza Al-Mustapha in line with the murder of Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, the Lagos Division of the Appeal Court ruled that there was no direct circumstantial evidence that Major Hamza Al-Mustapha conspired with any one to murder Kudirat Abiola. Since 1999 the former Chief security officer to the late Head of State Sani Abacha Major Hamza Al-Mustapha has been standing trials for allegedly masterminding the assassination of late Alhaja Kudirat Abiola wife of the presumed winner of the 1993 Presidential election Chief MKO Abiola -An Abuja High Court on Wednesday Reserved 20th September 2013 for judgement on whether the Delta State Government is entitled to the alleged 15 Million naira US Dollars bribe allegedly offered by former Governor of the State to EFCC officials in 2007. The Attonery General and Commissioner for Justice Delta State Mr. Charles Ajuyah (SAN) who led five legal officers from the Ministry of Justice in its arguement had told the court that the money legitimately belongs to the Delta State Government and urged the court to resolved the issue in its favour adding that the Delta State Government has shown sufficient basis to be entitled to the funds.Mr Adjuyah submitted that apart from the claimant Delta State Government there was no other contending parties laying claims to the money -The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Elder Peter Godsday Orubebe has called on Christian Community to Pray for Peace, Growth and Development of Nigeria.
