6.0L ford diesel (international) first pic is lower fuel filter cover was never fastened all the way correctly. Next is a recent filter change and obviously clogged and dirty.3rd pic is inside the pump where lower filter goes. Crud and debris build up.4th pic is the water seperator cover removed with alot of debris. The next 2 pics is after a cleaning. This is the horizontal fuel conditioning module( frame mounted low fuel pressure pump.To help prevent this replace the fuel filters every 10k miles with factory filters only. Also drain the fuel water seperator once a mont its a 6mm alen bolt.Do not over toghten just snug.To clean out the pump is simple 3 13 mm nuts on the left frame rail 2-3 wire plug connectors,4 fuel lines. Take apart the pump and clean out with brake clean and compressed air no parts needed. When complete cycle the ignition key about 7-10 times for approx. 40 seconds in between to fill the system with fuel.this simple repair will make a world of difference in drivability, power, and start ups.recomend ro clean out the pump at least once a year.Maintenance goes a long way and saves on cstly repairs. This repair can be dine at home in the driveway.
